What the price depends on
- Company size and headcount: more people means more workflows to map and more handoffs to test.
- Revenue: it sets how much a leak is worth, and how carefully the numbers have to be checked.
- Departments and workflows: sales, scheduling, delivery, billing and support each add their own map.
- Software: the number of systems, and whether their data can be exported or queried.
- Scope of the output: a findings report, or findings plus the build scoped and priced in writing.
What you should receive
- A map of the operation as it actually runs, not as the org chart says it runs.
- The top leaks, with a dollar or hour figure on each one.
- A ranked fix list, specific enough to hand to anyone who will implement it.
- The build scoped and priced in writing, so the next step is a decision, not another proposal.
- Documentation you own, whether or not you ever hire us again.
Kinds of audit compared
| Kind | What it is | What you get | Where it stops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-serve checklist | A questionnaire you complete yourself | A score and generic advice | It can only report what you tell it |
| Fixed-fee diagnostic inside the business | An operator maps the real workflows and data | Quantified leaks, a ranked fix list, a priced build | Needs access to your people and systems for 30 to 60 days |
| Embedded fractional engagement | An operator joins the team and builds | The systems themselves, then ongoing running | A larger, ongoing commitment |
| Large-firm consulting | A team of consultants and a long report | Strategy and recommendations | Often leaves the build to you |
How to judge an audit before you buy it
- Will they look at your real data and watch the work happen, or only interview you?
- Who does the work, and have they built these systems before?
- Is the output specific enough that someone else could implement it?
- Is the next step priced in writing, with the fee credited if you continue?
- Who owns the documentation when it is finished?
How ours works
We spend 30 to 60 days inside the business, map how it runs, put numbers on the leaks and scope the fix. The first call is free. If you move into a build over $5,000, half the audit fee is credited toward it. Details are on the operations audit page.
